Apple
The popularity of Apple computers, also known as Macs, have been increasingly growing the past few years. They have become especially popular among university students and continue to grow in the professional fields.
Macs are essentially the same as a PC in terms of hardware. The most significant difference lies within the operating system which they use. Unlike PCs which primarily use Microsoft Windows XP or Vista, Apple computers use a operating system known as Mac OS X (or 10.5 "Leopard"). However, newer Apple computers now have the ability to run Microsoft Windows XP or Vista natively. Many prefer the Mac operating system for its stability, security, and simplicity.
With that said, repairing most Apple computers is no different than repairing a PC. Most stores and Apple themselves will charge a premium for parts and services. While labor will generally run a little higher with Apple computers due to their design, the price of memory or hard drives are no different than PCs.
Here at eBits, we repair both PC and Macs. All of the repair services we offer apply to Mac computers as well.
